Weekly Photo Challenge: Lunchtime

Lunch

Bruschetta

Lunch.

I’m usually a carnivore, consisting of hamburgers and foot-long Italian sandwiches, but for some reason I decided to eat a Julie & Julia signature meal.

However it was in Guat proportions.

No tiny mini breads here.

Just ginormous half loaves of crunchy, tasty, savory, garlicky, fresh, and satisfying ingredients.

I had four servings.

Why not?

There was no Trans Fat.

Lunch.

I’m an eater too. Don’t understand small portions

Duuuuuuuude I know. That’s why I’m all about Claim Jumper. If for some reason I don’t finish. No worries. No shame in taking it home in the to-go box … probably finish it later on that same evening. 🙂

This picture made me click, of course, since I’m obsessed with that movie and that meal! I could watch her husband Eric eat that bruschetta all day, on repeat. Haha! Oh, and I totally agree, small bread is for suckers! Go big or go home! 😉

Duuuuuuuuuude. Every time I eat this I think of Eric and how he thoroughly enjoyed that meal. My goal is to thoroughly enjoy every meal like Eric … when I don’t, it’s really sad. I have to make up for it with chocolate 🙂

Wow, that looks delicious Guat! It reminds me of how much I miss being able to eat Bruschetta, but I have to keep a distance from acidic foods. I have pretty severe GI tract issues, and as I even write this comment they’re acting up tonight. (Boo hoo.) Still, I’m very glad that you can savor such appetizing foodstuffs buddy. Now, I need to take my leave to mainline high octane antacid.

Dude I feel bad that you can’t enjoy something like this. It saddens me when good people can’t enjoy great food. But I’m sure that during the discovery process of what jacked up your GI tract issue there was a great Lame Adventure written. 🙂

Not much of an LA. It was simply a case of genetics doing the tango with stress the year I hit 50.

Amazing but not surprising, how popular bruschetta is. 🙂 Sounds like you had a real feast.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude. I was all over that bruschetta and I had a total feast. It was ridiculous how many tomatoes I ate.
