I only got four today. Five would be great … but it’s four. I wasn’t feeling five.
They kind of snuck up on me today … on Country Monday. Each of them had something different that sort of pulled at my strings, and stayed in my pocket until night time. So I thought I’d share. Got some great storytelling out there with this kind of music, the kind of stories I feel, read and like to write. No fluff, just the real deal.
Now I’d heard the Bentley, Rhett and Zac Brown songs before but I had never heard the Keith Urban tune and it just blew me away. I’m not much of an Urban fanatic, but this song was something you look for when trying to find a great partner, someone who’s strong when you just don’t have it in you, this is something you wish you could be for someone you love. I enjoyed the heart and strength of it.
Good storytelling always inspires us to be better, whether it’s in a song or in a book.
Die A Happy Man — Thomas Rhett
Broken Arrows — Avicii Featuring Zac Brown
Solid playlist, I love all of these! I love the Thomas Rhett single, it’s so simple but the message is so sweet. I met him when he was a baby, I can’t believe he is on the charts now. You made some great picks, I hope your followers will check them out. We gotta post the good stuff so we can weed out the bad, right?
Duuuuuuuuude I was hoping you would so approve of my list. Didn’t want to let you down with so-so songs. So I’m so glad you like them too!! I know I usually have 10 on Mixed Tape Mondays but dude, these were rocking me out all day, getting all emotional and feeling the country feelings. And you’re right we totally got to post some great stuff. I was going to include Traveler but I remember you had him on your most recent list right? Dude I love Chris, so awesome. Plus he got nominated for some grammys I’m so hoping he wins, that way Country Radio can get a clue. AND I can’t believe you knew Rhett when he was a baby!!! What a trip!
I like these songs! Thanks for rocking me out – I need the energy this week. 🙂
Duuuuude you are bringing more Cowbell into my existence over here girl! So good to see you and thanks for the follow. I feel lucky earning Cowbell status. These songs do rock, I usually have about 10 on Mixed Tape Mondays but these just kept playing in my head all day after I heard them, so I needed to pass them along. So glad you enjoyed my country jams 🙂
I chose to listen to the the Rhett song. Love it. Just my kind of song and the setting for the video is beautiful. 🙂
Duuuuuude that is a great song! When I heard it over the radio I was like Man! Yes! It’s funny when I was younger I was so not into country music, but when I hit my 30s dude the switch came on. Lyrics are so good. Glad you were able to take a listen. 🙂
