    We always kid my buddy Dennis that his purpose in life is to be living proof that things could be worse. Poor guy is his own worst enemy. Great post.

      Yes! We have a friend like that too, but most of the time we look at our own moments of crappiness and hope that if anything they help our friends make better decisions 🙂

    I do this. And then I also think of people who have had it way worse than me to say, “Snap out of it!” I studied 20th century German history so you can imagine what images and stories I thought of. My life gets hard, but not Auschwitz hard.
